GI MAP

STOOL TEST

Collection Method: Stool sample (at home)

The GI-MAP was designed to detect microbes that may be disturbing normal microbial balance or contributing to illness. To complete the picture of overall health, the GI-MAP includes key markers related to digestion, absorption, inflammation, and immune function.

An unhealthy gut can cause uncomfortable symptoms that are felt beyond the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. In fact, the root cause of brain fog, fatigue, headaches, food sensitivities, and more can often be traced back to the gut.

The GI-MAP offers impactful, quantitative results that enable practitioners to create personalized protocols that address the underlying cause(s) of uncomfortable symptoms for even the most complex patients.

Your GI-MAP results shows:.

  • Bacterial pathogens and/or viral pathogens

  • Which bacteria strains are imbalanced in your normal gut flora (dysbiosis)

  • Whether there are: parasites, fungi, yeast/candida, worms, and/or viruses present

  • If H.Pylori is present

  • If inflammation is present in the gut  "leaky gut")

  • Any pathogenic bacteria involved with skin issues, breakouts, or flare-ups

  • Reactivity to gluten

  • How well your body digests and absorbs fat, secretes digestive enzymes, eliminates hormones and toxins, and its immunity/immune system resiliency (secretory IgA).

  • How well your body is metabolizing toxins, hormones, chemicals, etc. out of your system

Comprehensive Metabolic Panel

Collection Method: Blood (at blood draw lab or home)

This thorough set of tests helps assess your metabolism. Are you storing too much fat and sugar or perhaps too little? Are you insulin resistant with subsequent inflammation? You can run this panel to discover whether your diet, fitness and nutritional habits are providing you the metabolic health and longevity you deserve. Don’t settle for one-size-fits-all health advice.

Gain insight on your metabolic health, including the health of the kidneys and liver, thyroid, electrolyte and acid/base balance as well as levels of blood glucose and blood proteins. Abnormal results, and especially combinations of abnormal results, can indicate a problem that needs to be addressed.

Preparation: Fast for 10-16 hours, overnight. Drink enough water and take your prescribed medications. No coffee or vigorous exercise on the morning of the blood draw.
