The MRT uses a blood sample, which when sent to a lab, is able to determine your individualized response to a food by measuring the size of your white blood cells (immune cells) before and after exposure to each food and additive. The more your white blood cells shrink, the more pro-inflammatory chemicals they release as a response to being triggered by food, thus the stronger your food sensitivity is to that particular food.

 

Food sensitivities cause systemic inflammation that may manifest as digestive issues, anxiety, headaches, joint pain, and more.

 

This test is best combined with the GI Map test, as food sensitivities cause intestinal inflammation and occur due to a gut health issue (i.e increased intestinal permeability or "leaky gut") which needs to be addressed in order to reintroduce reactive foods.
